VICTORIA FALLS – ZAMBIA OR ZIMBABWE [3 DAYS]
VIA JOHANNESBURG – LIVINSTONE, ZAMBIA.
Day 1:: Johannesburg – Livingstone, Zambia (Victoria Falls) //..
Transit through Johannesburg to Livingstone in Zambia. On arrival you are met and transferred to your chosen hotel within Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park for close encounters with Zambia’s spectacular wildlife and the iconic Victoria Falls at your doorstep. Lunch and some rest. In the evening transfer to the jetty for the Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River. The cruise is along the river boundary of the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park, around Siloka Island and back to The Waterfront jetty. The total cruise time is approximately 2.5 hours. From the boat, sightings of elephant, giraffe and even rhino coming down to the river to drink are common. There is also abundant numbers of hippos, crocodiles and birdlife. Aboard the boat there is complimentary bar, which serves freshly baked snacks. An experienced guide accompanies cruise and has good knowledge on the wildlife and local history of the area. Dinner and overnight: The Royal Livingstone Hotel or Zambezi Sun Hotel.
Day 2:: Livingstone, Zambia (Victoria Falls) //..
After breakfast depart on a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of seven natural wonders of the world. This walking tour takes you through the magnificent rain forest where you are able to view the fall. Remainder of the day at leisure – return to the fall on your own (guests of the hotel have unlimited access), take an optional tour into the town or to a local village or relax at the hotel. There are a number of optional excursions available to fill your day: try a helicopter flight over the falls (Flight of the Angels), white-water river rafting, game viewing on land or by boat, or a cultural visit to Chief Mukuni’s village. After the Falls Tour on the Zambian Side, you will proceed to the Zimbabwean Side and continue tour. If interested, find some time to do some shopping at the Shona Market. Day 3:: Depart Livingstone //..
Morning at leisure followed by a transfer to Livingstone Airport for your onward flight, or start your epic adventure of Botswana. Meal Plan {B}.
