Payment //..

Registration and booking for all our programs shall at one point in time require a 30% DEPOSIT. The balance of the cost of your trip to be paid 35 days before arrival date in the low season – March through June and November to December 15th, and 45 days before arrival date in the high season – Jan through Feb and July through October. Payment in full is required when bookings are made within 45 days of arrival.

Cancellation and No Show Fee //..

Cancellations received by Jacko Africa Safaris before 45 days to arrival date are subject to no cancellation fee. Cancellation received less than 45 days to arrival date will be subject to the following cancellation fees:

• 45 – 30 days 25% of the tour cost.
• 29 – 15 days 50% of the tour cost.
• 14 – 0 days 100% of the tour cost.

NB::Please note that there is a minimal non-refundable administration fee for handling all the safari programs. This fee is 10% of the deposit.

Baggage Limit //..

The tour rate includes the transport and handling of ONE piece of luggage per person, not exceeding a total of 38 pounds. Baggage is restricted to 1 standard size bag, not more than 30-inch x 15-inch x 15-inch while on safari due to space (on domestic flights and/or) in the van and road conditions. Most hotels have left-luggage lockers for excess baggage.

Insurance //..

It is a condition of booking that one has adequate travel insurance cover plan from home for the entire duration of ones stay in East Africa. This plan should be designed to provide financial protection in a number of circumstances such as unforeseen medical circumstances that can force you to cancel or to interrupt your safari, loss or delayed luggage, medical assistance and hospitalization.

Member of the Flying Doctors Service //..

On your request, and on your account, Jacko Africa Safaris will assist to purchase Temporary Flying Doctors Service Membership on your behalf. This means that in case of any medical emergency the Flying Doctors Service provides free evacuation and transfer flights from any part of the safari circuit to the best medical facility in East Africa – located in Nairobi. However, please note that this does not cater for transportation of expired persons, and clients pay direct for any hospitalization bills that many result.

Liability //..

Jacko Africa Safaris acts only as an agent of the passenger in all matters relating to tours and it accepts no responsibility for any personal illness, injury, death, accidents, delay, loss, damage or irregularity of any kind which may be occasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond its control, including without limitations acts of negligence or breach of contract of any third party such as hotel, airline, who does supply any goods or services for the trip. Jacko Africa Safaris will not be responsible for any losses or expenses due to delay[(s) or change(s) in schedule, overbooking of accommodations, fault of any third-party sickness, weather, strikes, acts of God or for any other cause(s) beyond our control. All such losses or expenses are to be borne and paid for by the passenger and any claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the respective country’s courts where the incident happens. Whilst every care is taken, the company will not be held responsible for loss or damage to baggage, personal effects or valuables or currencies. The company reserves the right to employ sub-contractors for all or part of the services.

Unused Services //..

Refunds will not be made for any missed tour service or unused portion of the program. Adjustments will not be made for unused sight-seeing trips or meals. It is understood and agreed upon those refunds will not be made to passengers who do not complete the tour for any reason whatsoever.

Alterations to Tours //..

Jacko Africa Safaris reserves the right to alter arrangements of the route or to cancel the operation of a scheduled tour should conditions necessitate. It also reserves the right to decline or ask the police to retain any person as a member of any tour any time, and to pass on to tour members any expenditure or losses caused by delays or events beyond its control.

Warning on Shopping //..

Please use your best judgment when deciding whether you want to an item and if it’s worth the price being asked. Be especially careful when buying Tanzanite, golden articles, animal skins, rugs, large carvings to ship. Your purchase decision(s) is /are very personal. It is only our duty and goal to identify and recommend to you the best shopping opportunities which highlight unique locally-produced quality articles with the best value.

However, Jacko Africa Safaris is not responsible for the goods you buy, for any damages, delays or problems you may encounter with shipping your purchase(s). Please do not buy, if you are not sure of the item, its price or the vendor. You will only have yourself to blame, if you are not satisfied with what you have bought. Any one – whether officially uniformed or non-uniformed – assisting may have own personal interest in the commission(s) thereof, and it can’t be our company to be blamed for taking you there.
