Camel / Horse Rides //..

Camel / Horse Racing are a spectator spot with an avid following – horse racing is unparalleled. Racing takes place at the beautiful Nairobi Racecourse on 40 days a year, almost all Sundays. On this safari, you get a chance to attend a show, or wait to enjoy your own rides in the wilderness.

Golfing Safaris //..

Nairobi is a Golfing City. Enjoy sight-seeing, landscapes and play some golf as you travel. Mt. Kenya Safari Club as well as Mombasa also offer you superb golfing opportunities. We schedule you to enjoy the taste of different locations during this single trip.

White Water Rafting //..

The adventure starts with a 3 km of easy Class II and III white water, with plenty of opportunity to gain the practice of paddle skills required – running the lower part of the river. If this won’t be fun enough, please wait for the more enthusiastic ocean beach sports.

ITINERARY:

Day 1 :: Arrive in Nairobi //..

Upon your arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our safari-guide and transferred to Ngong House or Nairobi Serena Hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure. Overnight at your hotel. Meal Plan Bed & Breakfast.

Day 2 :: Resting in Nairobi //..

A nice thought to have some rest before we embark on our fortnight-long adventure safari. Breakfast closes by 9.00 am – gives you a chance to sleep-in. Afterward retreat to the comfort of your room, or unwind at the pool. The sun will shine and there is nothing to do, or you might want to some excursions; 1. Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage, or 2. Giraffe Centre. In the evening, we set out to a restaurant for our Welcome Dinner. Late evening return to our hotel for overnight at: Ngong House or Nairobi Serena Hotel.

Day 3 :: Nairobi – Lewa Downs //..

After an early breakfast you will be met by our driver-guide for your transfer to Nairobi Wilson Airport. Once checked in you will board the morning flight to Lewa Downs.  Upon arrival at Lewa Airstrip, you will be met by a vehicle from the Lewa Conservancy and taken directly to the Craig Family residence – Wilderness Trails. There are plenty of activities to keep you occupied at Lewa Downs. You have your pick of game drives, horseback riding, bush walks, camel treks and bird watching. If you prefer to relax and enjoy the surroundings, the pool or tennis courts are excellent choices. Overnight at Wilderness Trails. Meal Plan {B, L, D} {including local beers, soft drinks and wines}.

Days 4 & 5 :: Lewa Downs //.. Explore Lewa Downs with meals {including local beers, soft drinks and wines}, and overnight at Wilderness Trails.

Day 6 :: Lewa Downs – Samburu Game Reserve //..

After breakfast you are transferred by road from Lewa to Samburu by Jacko Africa vehicle and arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Spend this afternoon on game a drive. Dinner and overnight at Elephant Bedroom Camp, or Larsen’s Camp. Meal Plan {B, L, D} {including local beers, soft drinks and wines}.

Days 7 :: Samburu Game Reserve //..

Explore Samburu Game Reserve on morning and afternoon game-drive. During your stay, you will also be welcomed to the local Samburu village where you visit a school and watch tribal dancing. Meals {including local beers, soft drinks and wines}, and overnight at Elephant Bedroom Camp, or Larsen’s Camp.

Day 9 :: Samburu – Mt. Kenya Safari Club //..

After breakfast we transfer by road to Nanyuki at the foot of Mount Kenya. Weather permitting; you may have stunning views of Africa’s second highest mountain. After check-in, lunch shall be served, and you have an afternoon free. You may engage in the club’s activities such as horse-back riding, trout fishing, or golf. Dinner and overnight: Mt. Kenya Safari Club.

Day 10 :: Mt. Kenya Safari Club  –  L. Elmentaita Serena Luxury Camp //..

We drive into the Great Rift Valley and arrive at the Lake Elmentaita Serena Luxury Camp for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, we shall join a Nature Walk – several bird species, including flamingoes, can be seen on the lakeshore. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the camp: Lake Elmentaita Serena Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 11 :: L. Elmentaita Serena Luxury Camp  – Masai Mara Game Reserve //..

After a hearty early morning breakfast, we will depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve. The Rolling plains and grasslands here stretches into the horizon, and is home to the black-manned lion, the savannah elephant, the Cape buffalo, wildebeest, stripped hyena, rhino, topi, the Maasai giraffes, and many others. For years, the Mara Game Reserve has stubbed her authority as the granary of wildlife in Kenya. Enjoy lunch, and afternoon game drive. Game drives, and other activities shall be taken care of in the Olonana Package. Dinner and overnight at: Olonana Sanctuary [All Inclusive Basis].

Days 12 & 13:: Experience Masai Mara Game Reserve //..

Explore Masai Mara in depth during these extra 2 days with meals {including local beers, soft drinks and wines} included. If you have come during the months of July through September, you will witness the greatest animal movement spectacle on earth; the eighth wonder of the world – The Great Wildebeest Migration. Thousands of wildebeests migrate annually into the Masai Mara in search of pasture. En route, tens of wildebeests are carried into the raging waters; while others are captured and killed by giant crocodiles. The wildebeests are closely followed by Burchell’s zebras and impalas. Predators in large packs and prides follow and lay in wait to kill these animals that become weak or incapacitated during the long journey. We may be lucky to witness a leopard or a cheetah sprint and make a kill! All meals and overnights at Olonana Sanctuary [All Inclusive Basis].

On one of these days is when you have opportunity to fly balloon over the Masai Mara. The cost is US$ 500.00 per person. Balloon package includes early morning pick up from your lodge, approximately 1 hour’s flight, Champaign breakfast in the wilderness, after landing, and transfer back to your lodge. All between dawn, and approx. 11h00.

Days 14 :: Depart Masai Mara – Nairobi or Kenya Coast //..

After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled domestic flight via Nairobi Wilson Airport to Diani or Watamu. On arrival in at the Kenyan Coast, you will be met and transferred to your beach resort to start enjoying your 4 nights stay.
