Day 01:: Arrival in Nairobi //..

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi, Kenya. After passing through customs, your waiting team from JACKO AFRICA SAFARIS will escort you to your hotel, nestled in the lush garden surroundings of Nairobi’s Central Park – Nairobi Serena Hotel. Here you can enjoy quiet and peaceful moments away from the bustling city, yet remain within walking distance of it. The superlative accommodation, excellent cuisine, impeccable service and luxurious facilities have all contributed to the Nairobi Serena Hotel acquiring the coveted status of member of “The Leading Hotels of the World”, {booked on BB basis}.

Day 02:: City Tour of Nairobi – Giraffe Centre – Lunch in Karen – Karen Museum –

Return to Hotel //..

Leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure for City Tour of Nairobi. The tour takes you past Nairobi’s ancient landmark buildings – University of Nairobi, City Market, Central Business District, Parliament Buildings, Kenyatta International Conference Center & City Hall. Then depart for Karen Area to visit the fascinating Giraffe Center which enables you to come face to face with the Rothschild Giraffe, and have the pleasure of hand-feeding them with Giraffe food. Lunch at the historical Karen Coffee Gardens Restaurant After lunch, we visit Karen Blixen Museum – former home of the Authoress of ‘Out of Africa’. Return to our hotel. In the evening we transfer to Safari Park Hotel for our Welcome Dinner at Nyama Choma Ranch Restaurant – including a 1-hour Safari Cats Dance Show. Return for overnight at the Nairobi Serena Hotel. Day 03:: Nairobi ‐ Tsavo West N. Park [Day includes B, L&D] //..

Rise early and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Check out and transfer to Nairobi Train Terminus for today’s train ride to Tsavo. The train ride gives us the opportunity to arrive early and non-exhausted at our destination ‐ Tsavo West National Park – justly famous for its beauty and abundant wildlife.

Upon arrival at Mutito Andei, we disembark and enter Tsavo West National Park. Lunch will be served at our destination – Kilaguni Serena Lodge – followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge.

Day 04:: Explore Tsavo West Natl. Park. [Day includes B, L & D] //..

Today, it’s after breakfast we continue exploring this vast park on morning and afternoon game drives. Lunch when we get back to our lodge. Siesta until 3.30.pm then we proceed for an evening game drive with a chance to visit the Mzima Springs famous for aquatic lives; hippos, crocodiles, crab and fish. The Tsavo National Park is the largest of all national parks in Kenya and has over 7000 elephants. Tsavo West National Park covers approximately 30% of Kenya’s area under parks, and contains a diversity of habitats, wildlife and a scenic mountainous landscape. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge.

Day 05:: Tsavo West N. Park – Amboseli N. Park: [Day includes B, L & D] //..

Rising early for breakfast at the lodge, you will then proceed by road to the Amboseli National Park. This drive gives you the opportunity to view the beautiful Shetani Lava as you drive your way out. Famous for its beauty and abundant wildlife, the Amboseli National Park is dominated by snow‐capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Although its peak is often shrouded in clouds, you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of it during your stay. We arrive at our lodge for check-in and lunch first. In the afternoon, we head out on a game drive, which will include visit to an authentic Masai Village on the edge of the park. Dinner and overnight: Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Amboseli is home to the legendary Masai tribesmen. Masai warriors are a famous and proud nomadic tribe, whose legendary prowess in battle and single‐handed acts of bravery in fights with wild animals is known across the world.

Day 06:: Explore Amboseli N. Park: [Day includes B, L & D] //..

Departing early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up on the summit, we set off for an early morning game drive. Later we return to our lodge for full breakfast. After breakfast, it is rest time – with lunch included. Late afternoon – 3.30 pm – we embark on our final game drive in the park.

The park is known for its felines: lion, leopard, cheetah, serval and civet cats. Herds of graceful impala thrive on the short grass in the woodlands, along with the black‐faced vervet monkeys, if not olive baboons. Hippos live in the open waters and swampy channels where buffalo feed on the shoreline. This is the place to encounter large numbers of elephants, observing their complex greeting rituals and the way all the adult females protect and instruct the young. The Amboseli elephant population is one of the few in Africa that has not been ravaged by poachers. Dinner & overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 07:: Amboseli  N. Park – Namanga Border – Arusha Serena Hotel & Spa – Arusha //.. 

After breakfast at the lodge, check out and head for Namanga Border, reachable in 2 to 2.5 hour’s time. Upon arrival at the border, proceed for immigration process, after which we continue to Arusha. Lunch at Four Season Hotel in the center of the city. In the afternoon we conduct a brief City Tour of Arusha, before continuing to our hotel. Rest of the day is spent at leisure at our hotel. Dinner and overnight at Arusha Serena Hotel & Spa. 

Day 08:: Arusha – Lake Manyara Serena Lodge //.

Breakfast at the lodge, drive to Mto wa Mbu. On arrival in Mto wa Mbu, visit a school, then afterwards enjoy a village walk on the banana plantation. This will be followed by local Mama’s Lunch – a typical homestay meal. In the afternoon visit a workshop of traditional painters and Makonde wood carvers. Accommodation in a lodge on the edge of the western rim of the Great Rift Valley overlooking Lake Manyara with incredible landscapes.

Day 9:: L. Manyara National ParkNgorongoro Conservation Area //..

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning we check out of the rooms, but we keep our luggage in the reception store, and go for a game drive in the Lake Manyara Park, returning for lunch. After lunch, we load our luggage and continue into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Rest of the day is spent at leisure at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 10:: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge – Ngorongoro Crater Drive //.

Breakfast at the lodge, with picnic lunch boxes descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day crater drive.  NOTE: At the time of travel, should Tanzania National Parks Authority enforce half day rule – then that will be sad. We shall go by that – yet no refund(s)! After crater drive, return to our lodge where rest of the evening is spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight at: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Day 11:: Ngorongoro – Olduvai Gorge – L. Ndutu //..

Breakfast at the lodge, depart for L. Ndutu. On the way, BEFORE or AFTER Olduvai Gorge Museum, visit an authentic Masai Village. Lunch (maybe late lunch) is at our destination – Lake Ndutu Luxury Tented Camp. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Lake Ndutu Luxury Tented Camp. Meal Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}

Day 12: Explore Lake Ndutu Area //..

Breakfast at the lodge. Depart for full-morning game drive on different tracks in Lake Ndutu Area, returning to our camp for lunch. In the afternoon we enjoy yet another game drive. Dinner and overnight at Lake Ndutu Luxury Tented Camp. Meal Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}

Day 13:: Lake Ndutu Area – Serengeti N. Park //..

Breakfast at the camp. Depart for Naabi Gate to enter the Serengeti.  Mid-morning game drive en route to our lodge, where we have warm lunch. In the afternoon, we enjoy some leisure before another game drive in the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight: Ole Serai Tented Luxury Camp – Turner Springs.  Meal Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}.

Day 14:: Serengeti National Park – Serenity on the Lake Resort //.

Breakfast at the camp. Depart for the shores of Lake Victoria, with morning en-route game drive to Kirawira Serena Tented Lodge, where a warm lunch shall be served.  After lunch, we exit the Serengeti National Park by Ndabaka Gate (washroom opportunity), and continue to Serenity on the Lake Resort for check-in. Dinner and overnight at Serenity on the Lake Resort. Meal plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}.

Day 15:: Serenity on the Lake Resort – Masai Mara G. Reserve //.. 

Breakfast at the resort. Visit Mwamburugu Fishing Village on the shore of Lake Victoria. No canoe boat ride. Afterwards, we Departure for Sirare/Isebania. On the way, enjoy a light warm lunch at Goldland Hotel in Tarime, before arriving at the border. The lunch is a one-course main dish. After border formalities, continue to Masai Mara Game Reserve.  We do a game drive en route to our lodge. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge. Meal plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}.

Day 16:: Explore Masai Mara – Second Day. [Day includes: B, L, &D] //..

We spend the day in the Masai Mara on morning and afternoon game drives. Large mammals are varied, abundant and easy to see. Residents among the park’s mammals are; Masai Giraffe, Eland, Topi, thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, both Thomson’s, and Grant’s Gazelles.

Today, you have opportunity to fly over the Mara in a Hot Air Balloon at extra cost. Balloon package includes a champagne breakfast in the wilderness. This unforgettable experience costs U.S. $ 500 per person as at this time of writing this itinerary.

Travelers on the balloon flight will enjoy their champagne breakfast in the bush. We shall set out to pick them up, and continue on morning game drive. We return to our lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, there is yet another game drive. Dinner and overnight: Mara Serena Safari Lodge //..

Day 17:: Explore Masai Mara – Third Day. [Day includes: B, L, &D] //..

Another full morning is spent in the Masai Mara exploring different corners of the reserve. We look for the animals we haven’t seen enough of as we conclude our safari, returning to our lodge for lunch. In the afternoon – no more game drive. But weather permitting; we conclude the trip with a Sundowner Cocktail – courtesy of Jacko Africa Safaris on Sundowner Hill. Dinner and overnight: Mara Serena Safari Lodge //..

Day 18:: Masai Mara – Nairobi – Home-Bound Flight. [Day includes: B, L, &D] //..

Leisurely breakfast at the lodge. Mid-morning transfer to the airstrip for flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Nairobi Wilson Airport, we transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel for lunch and dayroom. Later we transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your home-bound flight. End of services!
