Day 1 :: Arrival in Nairobi //..

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi, Kenya. After passing through customs, your waiting team from JACKO AFRICA SAFARIS will escort you to your hotel, nestled in the lush garden surroundings of Nairobi’s Central Park – Nairobi Serena Hotel. Here you can enjoy quiet and peaceful moments away from the bustling city, yet remain within walking distance of it. The superlative accommodation, excellent cuisine, impeccable service and luxurious facilities have all contributed to the Nairobi Serena Hotel acquiring the coveted status of member of “The Leading Hotels of the World”, {booked on BB basis}.

Day 2 :: Nairobi  – Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Sweetwaters) //…

Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast before depart to Ol Pejeta Private Ranch. Situated on the Equator and with a stunning backdrop of the majestic Mount Kenya, the 90,000-acre wildlife Conservancy boasts of an astounding variety of animals. We arrive at the camp to a warm welcome, ushered in for check-in then lunch. This afternoon we depart for an exciting game viewing drive in the wildlife rich game sanctuary. Home to the Big Five (the endangered black and white rhinos, elephants, lion, leopard & Cape buffalo) and a host of other animals such as the Grevy’s zebra, cheetah, gazelles, black-back jackals, ostrich, baboons, waterbuck, Oryx, eland and several hundred bird species. We will enjoy a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which is incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and provides a lifelong refuge to orphaned Chimpanzees from West and Central Africa. Return to our tented camp for dinner and overnight: Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp.

Day 2 :: Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp – Samburu National Reserve //..

After a hearty breakfast, morning drive brings you across the Equator where you stop over for a photo opportunity. Proceed to the rugged north via the Town of Isiolo, which almost lies in the centre of Kenya. We arrive in Samburu for a game drive en route to our lodge. Samburu is home to 4 of the Big Five (Elephants, Lion, Leopard & Cape Buffalo), but also hosts other animals such as the grevy’s zebra, cheetah, gazelles, black-back jackals, ostrich, baboons, waterbuck, oryx, eland and several hundred bird species. Check in at our lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight: Samburu Lodge.

Day 3:: Explore Samburu including visit to a Samburu Village //..

After breakfast at our lodge, today we will see more of Africa’s spectacular wildlife on an exciting morning game drive. Samburu Game Reserve, a semi-arid bush country has its own character – rocky outcrops, prominent mountain ranges, doum palms, riverine accacia forest, and crocodile infested river. Sometime in the morning or in the afternoon, we visit an authentic Samburu Village. Dinner and overnight: Samburu Lodge or similar.

Day 4:: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National Park //.

Breakfast at the lodge. We depart for the Great Rift Valley. Warm lunch shall be served at Nyahururu Panari Hotel, later we will arrive at the Lake Nakuru National Park Gate for an afternoon game drive enroute to our lodge. In the Lake Nakuru N. Park we find various species of animals; including lion, the endangered Rothschild giraffes, the Burchell’s zebra, the elusive leopard, just to name a few. Over 300 species of birds have been recorded here too. Lake Nakuru National Park is also one of the best places to view the endangered Black and White Rhinos. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Lodge, or similar.

Day 5:: Lake Nakuru N. Park – Masai Mara Game Reserve //..

After an early morning breakfast, we depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve – place of wonderful scenery and plenty of game. We arrive for lunch at Sarova Mara Camp. This may be our overnight lodge – so we settle in. Alternatively, if our lodge is Mara Serena we embark on an enroute game viewing drive to Mara Serena Lodge, where we will stay overnight. The Rolling plains and grasslands here stretches into the horizon, and is home to the black-manned lion, the savannah elephant, the Cape buffalo, wildebeest, stripped hyena, rhino, topi, the Maasai giraffes, and many others. For years, the Mara Game Reserve has stubbed her authority as the granary of wildlife in Kenya. Dinner and night at our lodge: Sarova Mara Camp or Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 6:: Experience Masai Mara. (Day includes Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, then proceed on a morning game drive and adventure, including 1 washroom stop between breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, we do another game drive till dusky. If you travel in July through September, you are just in time for the greatest spectacle on earth; the eighth wonder of the world – THE GREAT WILDEBEEST MIGRATION. Thousands of wildebeests migrate annually to Mara in search of pasture. En route, tens of wildebeests are carried into the raging waters; while others are captured and killed by giant crocodiles. The wildebeests are closely followed by Burchell’s zebras and impalas. Predators in packs of hundreds also follow and lay in wait for these animals that become weak or incapacitated during the long journey for a kill. We may be lucky to witness a leopard or a cheetah sprint and make a kill! Dinner and overnight: Sarova Mara Camp or Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Today is when you have opportunity to fly balloon over the Masai Mara. The cost is US$ 500.00 per person. Balloon package includes early morning pick up from your lodge, approximately 1 hour’s flight, Champaign breakfast in the wilderness, after landing, and transfer back to your lodge. All between dawn, and approx. 11h00.

Day 7 :: Masai Mara Mombasa //..

After breakfast, transfer to airport for schedule flight via Nairobi to Mombasa. Meet at airport and be transferred to Mombasa Serena Beach Resort & Spa for your ultimate escape. Dinner and overnight at Mombasa Serena Beach Resort & Spa [– booked on Half Board basis].

Days 8/9/10 :: Enjoy Mombasa //..

After breakfast, spend your days as you wish. At extra cost – NOT INCLUDED in this package, a wide variety of water sports and recreational activities are available for our guests:

– scuba diving, windsurfing, beach volleyball and many more,

– Elegant Cuisine inside or outside your hotel, or a typical Swahili evening to capture the spirit of an Arab style sundowner on an Arab Dhow complete with music and food are just but to mention a few of what is available.

– An evening for the Sight & Sound program of Fort Jesus is also something you ought not to miss.

–  A full-day excursion to Malindi Town is unforgettable. Overnights at Mombasa Serena Beach Resort & Spa. [– booked on Half Board basis].

Day 11 :: Mombasa- Nairobi //..

Depending on your return flight timing, you can have the morning at leisure and later be transferred to the Airport for flight back to Nairobi to continue with your onward travel plans.
