Day 1:: Arrival in Nairobi: First Day: [Day includes BB] //..
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi. After passing through customs, your waiting team from JACKO AFRICA SAFARIS will escort you to your hotel, nestled in the lush garden surroundings of Nairobi’s Central Park – Nairobi Serena Hotel. Here you can enjoy quiet and peaceful moments away from the bustling city, yet remain within walking distance of it. The superlative accommodation, excellent cuisine, impeccable service and luxurious facilities have all contributed to the Nairobi Serena Hotel acquiring the coveted status of member of “The Leading Hotels of the World” Overnight: Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Day 02:: Second Day – Resting in Nairobi at Nairobi Serena Hotel: [Day includes B & D – No Lunch] //..
A nice thought to have some rest before we embark on our fortnight-long safari. Breakfast closes at 10.00 am – gives you a chance to sleep-in. Afterward retreat to the comfort of your room, or unwind at the pool. The sun will shine and there is nothing to do. In the evening, we set out to Nyama Choma Ranch Restaurant in the Nairobi Safari Park Hotel for our Welcome Dinner. The dinner includes a 1-HOUR SAFARI CATS DANCE SHOW. Late evening return to our hotel for Overnight: Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Day 03:: Third Day – Nairobi Excursions: Giraffe Centre – Daphne Sheldrick’s Orphan Elephants, Karen Coffee Gardens Restaurant Lunch – Karen Blixen Museum. [Day includes B, L, & D] //..
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart at 8.00 AM for visit to The Giraffe Centre to view endangered Rothchild’s Giraffes, and have a chance to hand feed them with giraffe food. After a 1-hour visit, we head to Daphne Shedricks’ Rescued Elephants Orphanage for view of orphan elephants. Return to Karen Coffee Gardens Restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit The Karen Blixen Museum, the former home of the Authoress of ‘Out of Africa’, before returning to our hotel. Dinner & Overnight: Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Day 04:: Nairobi ‐ Tsavo West N. Park: First Day: [Day includes B, L&D]:
Rise early and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Check out and transfer to Nairobi Train Terminus for today’s train ride to Tsavo. The train ride gives us the opportunity to arrive early and non-exhausted at our destination ‐ Tsavo West National Park – justly famous for its beauty and abundant wildlife.
Upon arrival at Mutito Andei, we disembark and enter Tsavo West National Park. Lunch will be served at our destination – Kilaguni Serena Lodge – followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge.
Day 05:: Explore Tsavo West Natl. Park. Second Day: [Day includes B, L & D] //..
Early wake up for tea or coffee in the lounge. We embark on an early morning to last 2.5 hours, before return to our lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, relax at the lodge – you may enjoy some swimming – or just cool off in your room until lunch. In the afternoon, we have yet another game drive starting at 3.30 pm. The Tsavo National Park is the largest of all national parks in Kenya and has over 7000 elephants. Tsavo West National Park covers approximately 30% of Kenya’s area under parks, and contains a diversity of habitats, wildlife and a scenic mountainous landscape. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge.
Day 06:: Explore Tsavo West Natl. Park. Third Day: [Day includes B, L & D] //..
Today, it’s after breakfast we continue exploring this vast park on morning and afternoon game drives. Lunch when we get back to our lodge. Siesta until 3.30.pm then we proceed for an evening game drive with a chance to visit the Mzima Springs famous for aquatic lives; hippos, crocodiles, crab and fish. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge.
Day 07:: Tsavo West N. Park – Amboseli N. Park: [Day includes B, L & D] //..
Rising early for breakfast at the lodge, you will then proceed by road to the Amboseli National Park. This drive gives you the opportunity to view the beautiful Shetani Lava as you drive your way out. Famous for its beauty and abundant wildlife, the Amboseli National Park is dominated by snow‐capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Although its peak is often shrouded in clouds, you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of it during your stay. We arrive at our lodge for check-in and lunch first. In the afternoon, we head out on a game drive, which will include visit to an authentic Masai Village on the edge of the park. Dinner and overnight: Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Amboseli is home to the legendary Masai tribesmen. Masai warriors are a famous and proud nomadic tribe, whose legendary prowess in battle and single‐handed acts of bravery in fights with wild animals is known across the world.

Departing early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up on the summit, we set off for an early morning game drive. Later we return to our lodge for full breakfast. After breakfast, it is rest time – with lunch included. Late afternoon – 3.30 pm – we embark on our final game drive in the park.
The park is known for its felines: lion, leopard, cheetah, serval and civet cats. Herds of graceful impala thrive on the short grass in the woodlands, along with the black‐faced vervet monkeys, if not olive baboons. Hippos live in the open waters and swampy channels where buffalo feed on the shoreline. This is the place to encounter large numbers of elephants, observing their complex greeting rituals and the way all the adult females protect and instruct the young. The Amboseli elephant population is one of the few in Africa that has not been ravaged by poachers. Dinner & overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 09:: Amboseli – AM Flight to Nairobi – Transfer toward Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary – Lunch at Trout Tree Restaurant, or at The Mt. Kenya Safari Club [Day includes B, L & D] //..
After breakfast, we depart by air for Nairobi arriving at Wilson Airport. After clearing though – with washroom opportunity – we depart for Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary. Landscape changes to lush as we climb into the rich farmlands of the Kikuyu People, arriving at the Trout Tree Restaurant or at The Mt. Kenya Safari Club for lunch. Afterward, onward short journey to the Equator Crossing Point at Nanyuki. After a brief Equator Demonstration, we head to check-in at Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary. Rest of the day is spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight: Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp.
Day 10:: Sweetwaters – Samburu Nat. Reserve. [Day includes B, L & D] //..
This morning we check out of the room before a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, we embark on a morning game drive in Sweetwaters Sanctuary with a chance to visit the Jane Goodhall – Sponsored Rescued Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The beautiful Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary is a privately owned 100,000-acre ranch with magnificent views across the wildlife – studded plains to the snowcapped peaks of Mount Kenya. We return to the Sweetwaters Serena Camp for lunch.
Afterwards, we depart for Samburu National Reserve – a scenic drive further northward. Washroom stop in Isiolo Towm. Samburu has its own unique exotic feel of prominent mountain ranges, rocky outcrops, Doum Palms, Thicket, and Riverine Forest. Once we clear into the game reserve, we shall enjoy a brief en-route game drive to out camp – located along the banks of Ewaso Nyiro River. Dinner & overnight: Elephant Bedroom Luxury Tented Camp, or Larsen’s Luxury Tented Camp, or Surana Buffalo Springs Luxury Camp.

Today we will see more spectacular wildlife on two exciting game drives – early morning and evening game drives – in this scenic place. The game drives will introduce us to the unique animal and bird species of the Northern Hemisphere – notably Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, Gerenuk, etc. Dinner and overnight: Elephant Bedroom Luxury Tented Camp, or Larsen’s Luxury Tented Camp, or Surana Buffalo Springs Luxury Camp.
Day 12:: Samburu National Reserve – Flight to Masai Mara [Mara Serena]. First Day. [Day includes: B, L, &D] //..
After breakfast, we depart for airstrip for flight [on light aircraft] to Masai Mara. We capture aerial views of the dramatic Great Rift Valley as we approach the climax of our safari. The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most precious and most visited wildlife sanctuary. You have come to big game country, long famed as having one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of game. It is home to the Big Five – Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Cape Buffalo and Leopard, and it’s where the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration takes place in July & August. Lunch at our destination: Mara Serena Lodge. After lunch, a brief rest before we embark on an afternoon game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight: Mara Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 13:: Explore Masai Mara – Second Day. [Day includes: B, L, &D] //..
We spend the day in the Masai Mara on morning and afternoon game drives. Large mammals are varied, abundant and easy to see. Residents among the park’s mammals are; Masai Giraffe, Eland, Topi, thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, both Thomson’s, and Grant’s Gazelles.
Today, you have opportunity to fly over the Mara in a Hot Air Balloon at extra cost. Balloon package includes a champagne breakfast in the wilderness. This unforgettable experience costs U.S. $ 500 per person as at this time of writing this itinerary.
Travelers on the balloon flight will enjoy their champagne breakfast in the bush. We shall set out to pick them up, and continue on morning game drive. We return to our lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, there is yet another game drive. Dinner and overnight: Mara Serena Safari Lodge //..
Day 14:: Explore Masai Mara – Third Day. [Day includes: B, L, &D] //..
Another full morning is spent in the Masai Mara exploring different corners of the reserve. We look for the animals we haven’t seen enough of as we conclude our safari, returning to our lodge for lunch. In the afternoon – no more game drive. Day 15:: Masai Mara – Nairobi – Home-Bound Flight. [Day includes: B, L, &D] //..
Leisurely breakfast at the lodge. Mid-morning transfer to the airstrip for flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Nairobi Wilson Airport, we transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel for lunch and dayroom. Later we transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your home-bound flight. End of services!

- Confirmation of large number of rooms is upon paying a deposit.
- Luggage weight limit on light aircraft is STRICTLY: 15 Kgs. Therefore, some of our excess luggage – if any – might need to be transferred overland!
